Costa has joined a project mounted by the non-profit organization Fondazione Rava, under the direction of the Umbria Civil Protection Authority, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the “mission school” task force and the Ministry of Education. The project involves the building of three new schools in Norcia (a kindergarten, a primary school and a middle school for a total of 600 pupils).

We have decided to support efforts to rebuild the kindergarten, the aim being to get life back to normal as soon as possible for the children affected by the earthquakes in central Italy; indeed, a basic part of their everyday routine is schooling. The kindergarten will have 125 children, in four classes, plus a nursery school section and a room used for school administration. The building will be earthquake-resistant and will have low environmental impact energy and heating systems.

Building of the school is already underway and the work is set for completion by the spring.
