Sustainability and Governance
Sustainability is an integral part of Costa Cruises’ corporate culture. The principle underlying the company’s strategic approach to sustainability is the awareness that our role goes beyond simply...
Costa Cruises’ human capital is characterized by its rich diversity in terms of professionalism, multiculturalism and skills. Empowerment of our people is a key policy of the Company, which aims to capitalize on the commitment, talent and contributions of the individuals who compose it.
Particularly with regard to employment on board, where crew members work and live for months in an industry-specific situation, everyone’s job satisfaction and personal motivation are vital for the successful management of communal living. Consistent with this approach, Costa is committed to the development of a model of integration designed to guarantee an inclusive work environment that respects diversity, promotes the expression of talent and creates opportunities for cultural enrichment through social relations.
Costa’s People Strategy works to ensure we guarantee a setting where no form of discrimination – based on gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief – is accepted and we focus in particular on gender equality. In 2017 the Company adopted the Italian Charter for Equal Opportunities and Equality at Work, which provides a set of values for the dissemination of an inclusive corporate culture fostering diversity.
An integral part of our People Strategy is the Diversity & Inclusion program, which was launched to bolster actions and human resources management policies focusing on cultural pluralism so as to facilitate the development of a more and more inclusive culture.
