You’ll find bays of fine white sand, sun and a wide choice of water sports, from kayaking to scuba diving, to explore the marine life in the coral reef. The beaches are beautiful: Paradise Beach, Patong, Kamala Beach and Makham near Phuket harbour. The island's eponymous city is its ancient centre, where the architectural legacies of Portuguese and English settlers are still visible. The colourful Soi Romanee is without a doubt the most picturesque little town. On your Phuket cruise, take a break in the hills that overlook the harbour and the city. Climb up to Khao Rang, with its view of the magnificent Great White Buddha, and to Toe Sae Hill, known as 'Monkey Hill' due to the huge colony of macaques that lives there. Don't forget to bring some bananas!
