Koh Samui
Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island and one of is best known. It is part of an archipelago consisting of 80 islands, only a few of which are inhabited. The first settlers came here 150 years ago from China and planted the first coconut plantation. Today Koh Samui is one of the most famous and popular destinations; the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday. The landscapes are surprising for the green mountains of the hinterland, the beautiful sandy beaches on the coast, and even more so for its crops: coconut, durian, rambutan and pineapple plantations that practically cover the entire country. The most popular beaches are Chaweng and Lamai located on the east coast of the island Here, the emerald water is also home to a colourful flora and fauna. Beautiful and less crowded locations on the west coast or in the North of the island. A dream of beauty to be realised on a cruise.
