Edinburgh

Located on the east coast of Scotland, Edinburgh is the capital of the northernmost country in the United Kingdom. Edinburgh is a city of Gothic charm perched on a series of extinct volcanoes, that have extensive views over the hilly landscape and overlook the east coast of the North Sea.

For a scenic tour of the city, simply disembark at South Queensferry Harbour, take a comfortably coach ride and explore the historic capital of Scotland. During the stopover you will be immersed in the magic of the town centre and the medieval origins of the city. Stroll through the cobbled streets, the elegant squares of the 18th century New Town and walk through the winding alleys of medieval Old Town. Edinburgh has many wonderful vantage points, the most famous of which is Arthur's Seat, an imposing peak that rises in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill a large hill with various monuments and memorials. Your Edinburgh trip is also about shopping and tasting: once you reach the Royal Mile, the city centre's most famous street, with its wonderful period buildings, you will find shops selling typical produce and old pubs where you can savour the taste of Scotch whisky accompanied by the music of bagpipes.
