Barbados

Barbados is a pleasant little island of limestone origin, softly beaten by Equatorial winds, outside the arc of the Antilles. Apart from its natural beauty, it’s home to the oldest rum in the world.

Needless to say, the main attraction is the beaches. Less protected than the other islands of the Lesser Antilles, its coasts are very varied. On your trip to Barbados the beaches to the west and south will tempt you with their white sands that shimmer with pink from coral sediments and blue from the Caribbean Sea: Payne's Bay, Sandy Beach and Rockley Beach, connected by a walkway to the capital Bridgetown, are just a few of the wonders that await you when you go diving and sunbathing. The east coast overlooking the Atlantic is completely different. The sensation of wind in the face is the dream of every surfer travelling to Barbados. For a unique view, go for a hike to Cherry Tree Hill. Vast sugar cane plantations and beautiful gardens extend across the heart of the island. Take advantage of your Barbados cruise to admire the beautiful tropical blooms of the Flower Forest, full of colour all year round with orchids, begonias and bougainvillea.
