  • Museum of the Castle of the Teutonic Knights of Malbork

What we will do
  • Poland is a fascinating country, rich in cultural and architectural treasures. On this tour we will discover it in all its splendour. The first stage: Gdansk!
  • Our guide will accompany us on foot through the heart of the city, or rather the Old City. Here we will admire marvellous decorated buildings and their elaborate façades, which are topped off with countless ornamental pinnacles.
  • We continue on with a visit to the City Hall, now seat of the Gdansk museum. Built between 1587 and 1595, and reconstructed after the war, the building remains linked to the memory of the famous astronomer (and brewer) Jan Heweliusz.
  • During our trip, we will discover many other monuments and important architectural wonders, for example Artus Court, the Amber Museum and Long Market.
  • The third stop on our tour brings us to St. Mary's Church, the pride of Gdansk: it is the largest brick building in Europe and can welcome up to 25,000 people. The walls of this Gothic church, which was built over the course of 160 years, conceal a bright and spacious interior with large windows and more than 30 chapels, all finely decorated.
  • We now leave the city and head for the countryside, ready to immerse ourselves in a journey through the centuries. We begin by exploring Malbork Castle, one of the oldest and most famous castles in Europe. We reach the banks of the River Nogat where the majestic castle stands tall, surrounded by a moat.
  • From the outside we can already note the strong defensive walls of the fortress; inside we will discover the fortified towers, the dungeons, a labyrinth of rooms and many other architectural details created by the Teutonic Knights from 1274 onwards.
  • Lastly, we will discover the superb museum rooms with their collections of armour, ceramics, sculptures and incredible objects in beautiful Baltic amber.
  • The tour includes a culinary stop at a local restaurant: between one landmark and another we will enjoy a special lunch comprising typical Polish dishes.
