Saint Kitts and Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis or Saint Christopher and Nevis, is an island country that you will visit on the cruise to Central America. It is a small archipelago made up of two islands of the Lesser Antilles that give the State its name.
Christopher Columbus discovered these islands and gave his name to one, and to the other Nevis, a name that evoked snow, or the clouds that surrounded its mountain. The area was then fought over by the English and the French of the West India Company, while today it is a port of call on our cruises to the West Indies. The Saint Kitts Scenic Railway, the scenic rail route built to transport sugar cane, is one of the world's great train trips. The islands are of volcanic origin, with large central highlands covered by rain forest. The parish of Saint Thomas Middle Island is home to the Brimstone Hill fortress National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage site.
