Egypt is not just about Cairo and the Pyramids. Of course, the capital and the archaeological area are worth a shore excursion, but the country also has one of the most beautiful seas in the world, where we can enjoy fascinating dives and a splendid, relaxing cruise.
No need for oxygen tanks or certification: you can just put on a mask and push off a few metres from the shore, where the water suddenly deepens and there, as if by magic, you’ll find a world of many colours. During the cruise to Egypt, passing through the Suez Canal on our Costa ship is always a thrill, almost a rite of passage. Port Said, created to accommodate the workers who built the Canal, is now a bustling city with a continuous and orderly chaotic flow of ships. Cairo remains a charming town between its bazaars and the hustle and bustle of the second largest city in Africa. A visit to the Egyptian Museum is an absolute must.
