This tour will take you around the splendid city and to Petrodvorets, summer residence of the Tzars. The excursion begins from the port and continues toward the centre of the city. You'll pass by famous streets, well known palaces and cathedrals: from Peter-Paul Fortress, to the Winter Palace Hermitage and the Neva River. You will also visit Kazan Cathedral, a famous construction of the 19th century, containing precious icons of Russian painters . Lunch will be served in a restaurant where you will be able to sample some traditional specialities of Russian cuisine. From there the next stop will be the famous summer residence of the Romanovs, located in the suburbs of St. Petersburg, approximately one hour away. This city on the coast of the Gulf of Finland, was built by Peter I. The magnificent palace is the work of the architect Rastrelli, and is famous for its fountains. After the October Revolution it became a public park and museum.
