'ALONG THE CORINTH CANAL': Excursion in Piraeus/Athens

Departing from Piraeus, you will travel to the village of Isthmia to cross the famous Corinth Canal. This canal was constructed in 1882, but the idea of connecting the Ionian and Aegean Seas dates back to the Roman times. At Isthmia, you will embark a local boat to cross the canal. The canal is 3,7 miles long, 63 feet wide with sloping sides reaching 173 feet. A refreshment will be served during your trip through the canal.
