'ATHENS AND CAPE SOUNION': Excursion in Piraeus/Athens

The first part of the tour is dedicated to a visit to the majestic Acropolis, site of ancient Athens, and a mecca visited every year by millions of tourists. After lunch the tour will continue to Cape Sounion, famous for the Temple of Poseidon, situated in a splendid position at the top of a sheer rock from which you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades. The visits to the archaeological excavations take place on foot and passengers are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Please note: The order of visits may vary. This excursion may be difficult for those with mobility problems. It is strictly forbidden to enter the Acropolis with big bags and pushchairs. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. All Guests with mobility problems can reach the Acropolis by using an elevator. In case of bad weather and for safety reasons the elevator could be closed without warning. This decision will be taken by the local authority which monitor the ruins. Once on the top of the Acropolis there is a special path which allows you the chance to visit a part of the ruins.
